PSNWA Monthly Online Member Competition

A monthly online photography competition for PSNWA members. Submit pictures the first two weeks of the month, and then vote for the image you like the last two weeks of the month.

Online Photography Competition Guidelines
Photographic Society of Northwest Arkansas Members can submit a single photograph per competition. Pictures can be submitted from the 1st through the 15th of each month. Voting on images will take place From the 16th through the end of the month and everyone will have the opportunity to vote once for their favorite photograph. One photographer will be selected as winner based on the total votes received and juried by the PSNWA Chairman for Photographic Competitions. Two honorable mention photographers will also be selected based on votes. The member with the winning print will receive a $20 gift certificate to Bedford Camera and Video.

PSNWA Member Print Competition - Sunset


It happens every night. So get out and photograph a beautiful evening for the member print competition theme - “Sunset.” Rather in the woods or in the city there are some amazing sunsets; as long as it is a sunset at the theme of your picture you can enter to win! Deadline for entry is Feb 3, 2012.

Photos will be judged on Impact, Subject Matter / Creativity, Composition, Technical Quality, and Print Presentation. Black and White and Color photographs, from Film or Digital will be accepted. Up to 3 prints can be submitted in an 8 x 10 or 8 x 12 format with optional borders no more than maximum of quarter inch, at Bedford Camera & Video until Feb 3, 2012, in person at the PSNWA meeting Feb 2, 2012, or post marked by Feb 3, 2012 to PSNWA, PO Box 8837, Fayetteville, AR 72703. Include Name, email, phone, and competition theme on the back of each print. Photos with incomplete information will be disqualified.

Please, ensure you have a duplicate print or negative, photographs will not be returned. PSNWA nor Bedford's Camera and Video will be responsible for damaged or misplaced photographs. Images may be displayed at participating Business sponsors around Northwest Arkansas post competition. Competition is open only to PSNWA members. Submissions are ranked by a panel of judges chaired by Patricia Sides, PSNWA Competition Chairman. There is a gallery limit of two winning images per member that will be displayed. The top two scored images will be used to determine the images displayed if a member has multiple images ranked in the gallery range. All panel decisions are final.
